busy as a bee...

...doing lots of bee block!!! I've been playing catch up on a couple of Aprils blocks as well as getting all the ones done for May. I really wanted to go into June all caught up. I have to say it is a big relief to be caught up, and knowing that June will be much less stressful, hopefully. :)

Munki blocks for Rachel from the [Bee]- autiful Quilting Bee! The calypso block!

The tea party block!

Mendocino block for Kim from the SNTM Quitling Bee!

Flying Geese block for Amanda from the {Bee} Imaginative - A Virtual Quilting Bee.

Denyse Schmidt, Drunk Love block for Ashley from the {Bee} Imaginative - A Virtual Quilting Bee. I'm so sorry these are so late!!

Little toesies slipped in on this one.

Hope everyone has a super spectacular week-end!! What are your plans? I'm hoping to try my hand at some hexies for the first time!! :)

red & aqua cuteness~ more decorating!

The last couple weeks I've added some new red and aqua cuteness to our home! I still have more plans but I'm loving how everything is coming together. Slowly but surely. :) It seems like an on going project, adding little by little. I think my next project will be a scalloped bunting.

These cute aqua shelves were the needed accent for a couple embroidery hoops. I just got some more vintage red and aqua hoops on ebay so need to find a place to add a few more lovely embroideries I've received in swaps.

Isn't this the most adorable little mushroom turtle!! He just arrived on Saturday from far off Aussie land! My sweet friend Amy made him for me, for the Urban Home Goods Swap but he sadly didn't fit in the package. When I bought some cutsie ribbon from her shop she sent him along. I absolutely am in L O V E with him. THANKS, Amy!!

And pom poms!! I've been wanting to add some fun pom poms for ages!! Ever since I saw my other sweet friend Amy, aka Nanacompany decorating with them here , they have been on my list. So excited I finally got some!!

I got these cute polka dot boots at Joanns! They make the perfect little vases! :)

a few larger ones hanging from the fan!

A quick and easy project, by adding a little of my favorite BB polka dot fabric!

See ya later this week!

too cute for words!

A little bit ago I asked my sweet friend Ariel if she would help me out with a new project we are working on for our shop, Sew Deerly Loved. That project being a new website that will be launching in the near future! Ariel was so kind and more than willing to help us in her talented area of drawing the most adorable illustrations. She came up with the sweetest and beyond cute images that I absolutely L O V E.

As you can see I'm also working on adding these to my blog. Still playing around with it so you might see a few versions in the upcoming weeks. :)

Just wait till you see what this cutie will be doing on my website!!

Ariel then ask me if I'd be interested in the two of us doing some Sew Deerly Loved fabric!! I could hardly keep in my excitement!! What a fun idea to see these adorable designs turned into fabric for our shops!! Ariel ordered a little to test it out and is in her shop now. I had fun playing around on spoonflower for the first time and this is one version I came up with for us. Will be ordering some today. :)

woodland happiness~ a wall hanging and matching pincushion!

My dresden mini wall hanging is done!! Yippee!! I am loving all the cuteness, with the Heather Ross new gnomies and mushrooms, flea market fancy seedlings, woodland creatures, and lots of polka dots!! All my favorites in one quilt!! This sweet little quilt is going to my swap partner for the Urban Home Goods Swap, but no tears for me cause I have one in the makes for my studio. :)

For the center I used the cute Russian Sweetie embroidery I did earlier this week. My partner also likes Matryoshka dolls so I thought it would be the perfect touch! I sure hope you like it, my sweet partner!! It was sure fun to make, trying to include all your favorites!! For the pattern, I used Oh, Franssons, easy to follow tutorial.

I also stitched up a cute pincushion to match the wall hanging. It is the first pincushion I have done and love how it turned out. They are so simple to make, so I will be making many more! The pincushion was inspired by these cuties.

I just love the gnomes in this color!!

One more thing! My sil, Tasha is having a GIVEAWAY on her blog and it ends tonight! Hop on over and say hi, and enter to have a chance to win $20 in embroidery patterns from her Etsy shop.

Hope you are having a fantastic Friday!!

mini matryoshka

I stitched up this cute Russian Sweetie yesterday for part of my Urban Home Goods Swap! I think she turned out super cute!! Now to finish the dresden plate!! I only have till Friday so I'll be working on that today and tomorrow! :)

This cutie mini matryoshka (Russian Sweetie) can be found in my sil's Tasha's, etsy shop!!

For some flickr news~ The Pillow Talk Swap is now in full swing!! This is one of my favorite groups of Heather and I's. The amount of talented crafters keep growing each round, as we are at almost 100 members participating this round!! Each round I have been more astonished by the creative and fabulous pillows made!!

I made a helpful mosaic for my dear partner to give some hints of what represents my favorites!! As most know, I love red and aqua, woodland creatures including gnomies and mushrooms, and have been drooling over all the interactive piecing!!

Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!!
