selvedge spiderweb mini~ a table topper!

I finished the selvedge spiderweb mini this week, and have it resting on my table to showcase some of the prettiest hydrangeas from my yard. It was so fun using selvedges, and I’m starting to collect more. What project should I do next with selvedges?

My heart goes pitter patter every time I see this lovely mini!! ;)

See ya next week!

sew kid at heart~ quilting bee

I'm in the Sew Kid at Heart quilting bee, and have been recieving the most amazing blocks for Ethan's quilt. Everyone has put so much time and effort into each block, and I am so grateful!! THANKS!! Ethan even recieved his little stuffed animal that Tacha made him, and he absolutely LOVE it!! It is the cutest thing ever!!

I also started last week on a couple spiderweb blocks for Ariel. I love how they turned out, and can't wait to get them in the mail to her. This week I'm hoping to finish a couple more so I can catch up. I really don't like being behind.

Isn't this the greatest!! Thanks, Tacha!!

I love my little monkey, and he gets his own matching quiltie!!

Ariel's spiderweb blocks. I added in some gnome, mushroom, and hedgie fabrics that coordinated perfectly with the others!!

much excitement & a wip wednesday!

The excitement has begun again with sign ups for doll quilt swap 7!! The anticipation is unbearable!! If you would like to sign up and be part of all the fun, go and sign up asap since sign ups will close once they reach 200 and it is almost half way there in less than 24 hours!! I can't wait to find out who my partner is on Monday so I can start stalking thier favorites and blog to find out what they would love!! :)

I made another fun mosaic this time around to give some hints to my partner of what I am loving right now!!

I started a hexegon pillow yesterday for my living room, and am hoping to finish it up today. I've been really loving the hexies, and got a fun and easy pattern off flickr of the half hexegon. I had to do a little adjusting to make it into a pillow since I'm going to applique it on. I still need to work on perfecting peicing these so the pictures are continuous, so you'll see more of these in the future!! ;)

Hope you have a super spectacular day!!

simply a selvedge spiderweb mini

I want to say a quick THANKS YOU to everyone who gave me congrats and support on my new etsy shop!! It was a great first week and I know it was because of many of my readers!! THANKS again!! I ordered a bunch this week from Free Spirit and a little from MM so once those arrive my shop will have a bit more selection. Eventually, I'm hoping to have something everyone would love!! :) Suggestion are always welcome, so I can keep them in mind for my upcoming orders!!

Yesterday I did a mini selvedge spiderweb. I had been saving all my red and aqua selvedges from all the lovely red and aqua quilts I've done, since I have loved many of the spiderweb wip like this, this and this. Ariels quilting bee block is the spiderweb and since I hadn't done one before, thought all my red and aqua selvedges would be perfect practice, and I'm getting the cutest little mini out of it. How perfect!! :) Now I'm ready to do Ariels!

I added a few of my favorites in the mix, and of course lots of gnomes mushrooms and forest animals again!! I'm thinkin of using it as a table topper?? Whatcha think?

I got my mini quilt from Claudia a little over a week ago. Not only did she send one, she sent two!! Both my girls got to open thier own package, and each had a sweet little note in it. Maya and Savannah LOVE their new little quilts!! THANKS so much Claudia!!

Hope everyone has a bright and sunny week-end!!

Sew Deerly Loved

Yesterday I opened a new etsy shop, and have just listed my first several items, and it happens to be something I "sew deerly love", fabric!!! :) I just got my business license a few months back, and finally put my first order in last month of some Japanese fabrics, including the last few bolts Seven Islands had of the Heather Ross, Rabbits and Racecars!! I was so excited when they arrived!! What's better than bolts of fabric to stare at and admire.

I'm so excited for this new adventure, and to finally share the news! Please feel free to stop by and browse around as I add new lovely fabrics to the mix!!

Also know, that my blog will still be focused around all the lovely and dear things I create. ;)

Hope everyone has a super spectacular 4th of July!!
